The Icelandic Marine Research Institute chooses Maren

The Marine Research Institute in Iceland has decided to install and implement the
Maren Energy Management System on board their research vessel
Árni Friðriksson. The agreement between the Marine Research Institute and Marorka involves a research commitment between the two parties that will be aimed at decreasing the fuel consumption of fishing vessels. Árni Friðriksson will be the first research vessel to be equipped with Maren. The ship was built in the year 2000 and is an advanced research vessel powered by diesel electric propulsion and four diesel generators.
