A growing company
Many innovative companies here in Iceland have recently been contacted by foreign trade and investment representatives all with the same objective in mind i.e. moving all or a portion of their operations abroad. Marorka is one of these innovative companies and the offers set forth to date are very interesting to say the least. Insofar as a substantial portion of Marorka's operations are export-related, the strength of the Icelandic kronur is not helping matters.
The Icelandic business environment has been important for Marorka and has resulted in good relations with other companies, agencies and universities. Irrespective of this sometimes challenging business environment, Marorka is keen on keeping its operations here in Iceland.
In order to develop a robust, high-tech company based in Iceland, Marorka's current growth strategy identifies the need to grow both domestically and abroad. To that end, subsidiary operations will be initiated abroad at the same time that Marorka's primary operations are developed further here in Iceland.
