Key Objectives

Marine Energy Management is the application of systematic methods to measure, register and analyze the energy usage of a vessel or an entire fleet. This systematic approach identifies specific actions that vessel operators can take to reduce the vessel's energy consumption.

Marine energy management can both be applied onboard and onshore; onboard through measuring devices, monitoring systems and decision-support systems; onshore through data analysis and fleet management, leading to change in operation onboard.

Marorka's energy management methodology has the objective to optimize the use of energy, that is, to maximize profits and minimize environmental effects by using energy as efficiently as possible.

Other objectives are:

  • Increase knowledge transfer regarding energy issues

  • Maintain effective monitoring and reporting of fuel usage

  • Find ways to increase return from energy investments

  • Reduce risks of discontinued service of energy systems

Empower yourself to save energy, and the environment.
