MARORKA has announced the release of a new version of Maren Energy Management System, the shipping industry’s premium Energy Management System. The new release (Maren 2.7) includes several upgrades and improvement. The upgrades include:
Improved Inventory and Fuel Consumption accounting and reporting, with the addition of daily reports of consumption, reserves and discharge. The reports are now stand-alone and based on data verified by the crew.
The functionality of the Voyages unit has been simplified, accuracy improved and integration with ECDIS added.
Speed recommendations now include weather prediction based models by the possible integration with weather routing system.
A new night-mode has been added, providing a clearer and more comfortable view during dark hours.

Maren has been implemented at some of the leading shipping companies around the globe resulting in more efficient fuel management and reduced CO2 emissions. Wilh. Wilhelmsen in Norway and Eimskip in Iceland co-operated with MARORKA on the new release. The system is successfully running onboard their vessels Tortugas and Dettifoss.
