Initial Assessment projects

Marorka offers energy management consultancy services to all sectors of the maritime industry.  The service includes an Initial Assessment (IA) analysis, providing a thorough estimate of the energy savings potential for a designated vessel, series or fleet.  Conducted as a pre-project analysis, the main emphasis of the Initial Assessment is to identify areas where energy efficiency can be improved, resulting in reduced cost and minimized emissions. The IA is conducted in full cooperation with the shipowner's technical and operational management, as well as with the vessel's captain and engineers. 

In order to identify the maximum potential energy savings, energy management is approached systematically on a holistic basis on the designated vessel in order to meet the owner's objectives.  Taking the characteristics of the fleet or vessel into account, the project is approached on a customer-by-customer basis. 

Marorka uses the findings of this analysis to recommend a roadmap for implementation of the appropriate Marorka energy management solution suitable for the vessel, series or fleet in question.

In short, the Initial Assessment projects are conducted in the following steps:

Step 1. Meeting with owner's onshore technical and operational management of the vessel(s).

Step 2. Visit onboard the vessel(s).

Step 3. Prepare Initial Assessment report and system proposal for Step 4.

Step 4. Meeting with owner to present Initial Assessment report and discuss future direction.
