Power Plant
The Marorka Power Plant Module provides an overview of electricity production onboard and the fuel usage of auxiliary engines. It empowers the vessel operator to increase his control and the efficiency of electricity production and consumption onboard. The Power Plant Module is designed to identify how the vessel's auxiliary engines can be run as efficiently as possible.
The Power Plant Data Acquisition and Logging is connected to the Power Management System (PMS). Extra sensors are added when necessary measurements are not accessible through the PMS system.
The Module display is split into three main monitoring sections: Overview, Auxiliary Engine(s), and Main Electrical User(s).
The Decision Support for the Module uses measured data along with mathematical models and an optimal operation curve to improve the operational profile of power production. Optimal values and recommendations regarding parameter adjustments are shown in the module display. Recommendations contain information about the current operation and settings, and inform the operator of what could be gained by changing the parameters to other given values.
