Streamlined reporting

ISSUE: Implementing efficient reporting procedures

Unstructured data sets, fragmented control systems, manual data acquisition and other factors can all contribute to time-consuming and inaccurate reporting procedures. Today's vessel operators are often faced with cumbersome reporting processes. Manual work is required for data acquisition, ensuring compatibility and moving data between systems, spreadsheets and logbooks. The process can be time consuming, result in a lack of accuracy, and can lead to human error.

Shipping companies need to follow IMO reporting regulation. For instance, IMO requires all ships of 500 gross tonnage and above, engaged on international voyages exceeding 48 hours, to submit a daily report to their company.  The report should contain the ship's position, the ship's course and speed, and details of any external or internal conditions that are affecting the ship's voyage or the normal safe operation of the ship. The aim of the amendments is to address the responsibilities of ship operators to provide information useful to those responsible for mounting rescue operations.

SOLUTION: The Marorka Reports Unit

The Marorka Reports Unit is designed for the post-processing and reporting of data collected by Marorka's fuel efficiency and energy management systems. The pre-formatted reports include daily reports and an overview of the voyages and legs sailed by the vessel, along with special reports for inventories and energy production/usage.

An important aspect of energy management is evaluating past performance. Data collected by Marorka's energy management systems can be analyzed, either by viewing reports generated by the systems or by plotting data on charts.
Among the available reports are:

  • Noon to noon

  • List of legs sailed within each voyage

  • Summary report for chosen time interval

  • Bunker report

    • for chosen voyage

    • for chosen time interval

  • Inventory status and usage

    • for chosen voyage

    • for chosen time interval

  • NOx report

These reports are designed to provide a detailed overview of the vessel's operations, in addition to the option of comparing and benchmarking energy and fuel usage for different voyages and legs.
